Young South Asian Leaders Initiative (YSALI)
The Young South Asian Leaders Initiative (YSALI) enhances the leadership capabilities of young people in South Asia and strengthens ties between the United States and the region. YSALI empowers young leaders. From November 2-6, 2025, the YSALI Summit was held in Dhaka, and GEIST is pleased to support the event as the local partner. It was a great experience to welcome about 80 international delegates from 12 different countries. We are thankful to the University of Nebraska Omaha, East-West Center, U.S. Embassy Dhaka, and U.S. Department of State for considering GEIST for such an insightful event. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Sher Jan (from UNO), Mushfiq Bhai (from U.S. Embassy Dhaka), Ms. Christina (from EWC), Ms. Soraya Rahmanzai (from UNO), and the whole management team of UNO & EWC. GEIST volunteers and the conference management team did a wonderful job of offering hospitality and conference support. A special thanks to Mr. Rajaram Paul Chowdhury, Mr. Pranab Kanti Deb, Mr. Mashrafi Rahman Onim, Mr. Ashraful Oni and the photography team. We look forward to working in the coming days to empower youths for global sustainability.
