The National Climate Action Championship (NCCA), organized by GEIST International Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Environment, is a nationwide initiative aimed at empowering youth to address climate and environmental challenges in Bangladesh. As part of a broader sustainability project, NCCA promotes climate awareness, leadership, and innovation among students. In 2024, the championship engaged over 5,500 students and 165 teachers from 165 institutions across 54 districts, reflecting strong inclusivity across diverse educational backgrounds. Through categories such as climate Olympiads, research, art, and innovation projects, participants explored environmental issues from analytical and creative perspectives. Beyond competition, NCCA serves as a national platform that fosters environmental literacy, critical thinking, and youth-driven climate solutions, inspiring a new generation of responsible and proactive changemakers.
