Classes are going on in the English ‘Access’ Microscholarship Program
Regular classes of the students under the English ‘Access’ Microscholarship Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State, being held at the GEIST Centre every Friday and Saturday. The students are exposed to a wide variety of tasks which enriches their mind, develops their critical thinking ability, encourages them to think out-of-the-box and helps them acquire the best of skills of English language. The course instructors have been relentlessly working to ensure the betterment of these students. Students are also inspired to seek and pursue their dreams and their hobbies or areas of interest. Other than the enhancement activities, the students take part in debates and poster making sessions on various hot-button issues. Mentionable that, all these students belong to economically disadvantaged section of the society and GEIST is ecstatic to work for the development of these young minds who will be guiding Bangladesh as leaders in the near future.
Partnership with Winthrop University, U.S.A and Appalachian State University, U.S.A
Recently, GEIST International Foundation shook hands with Winthrop University, U.S.A and the Appalachian State University, U.S.A in terms of international exchange opportunities of students and teachers. There are ample scopes of enriching one’s experience and insight by staying in the U.S. by the help of such international exchange programs. Both the students and teachers are benefited by such opportunities and they are inspired to implicate the things that they have learnt during their stay in the U.S. and bring about positive changes in the society of their own country.By dint of such partnerships at international levels, students after appearing in HSC examinations can apply for any undergraduate degree at the Winthrop University through the help of GEIST International Foundation as a scholarship came into being, which is known as GEIST-Winthrop International Scholarship. Besides, both of the mentioned universities will be assisting GEIST International Foundation in prosecuting different time responsive researches and studies.
Interactive Session with Appalachian State University, USA at GEIST Center
GEIST International Foundation proudly introduced their valuable partner institution from the United States, the Appalachian State University. On November 2, 2019, Mr. Adam Lucan Julian, Director, International Student and Scholar Services and Outreach, Office of International Education and Development, Appalachian State University and Rebecca Hansen Yoon, Director of AppELS Institute, English Language Studies, Appalachian State University conducted an interactive session with enthusiastic students, guardians and teachers about their various programs.The programs included Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Degree, AppELS and student exchange programs. The program was organized at the GEIST Center at Arambagh, Dhaka. This session was also followed by another brief session where the visitors had an effective conversation with the school counselors from the capital Dhaka. Finally, a toke of appreciation was provided to the guests by the officials of GEIST Innovation & Leadership Center.
